FanDuel. With Steph Curry still sidelined, Steve Kerr has finally unleashed Jonathan Kuminga as a supplemental scorer to Jimmy Butler. Outside of Butler, Kuminga is the only other Warrior capable of generating his own offense, something that’s necessary against a Wolves defense that limits off-ball action. And even though I’m “buying high” on Kuminga, this is a line he’s regularly cleared given the opportunity. The athletic wing has cleared this line in 15/23 games this season when playing at least 26 minutes, regardless of who else suits up alongside him. Even if he doesn’t start, his playing time should clear the 30-minute mark (36 last game, and Kerr would be foolish not to play him).
Down 2-1 and playing at home, this is a-must win for the Warriors. Are they the better team? No. But you’re giving me all these points and home court, I’ll take it. Jimmy Butler just needs to finish his layups better in this spot. He blew some easy ones that I thought affected the game more than people know. Close game, but points are the difference.

Anthony Edwards had gone Over his rebounds+assists line in five straight games until finishing well below the 12.5 total in Game 4, when he had four rebounds and four assists. Edwards was focusing on scoring and finished with 36 points. Most books dropped Edwards' combo prop to 11.5 but DraftKings is offering a juiced 10.5 that I bet. Edwards is averaging 40 minutes in this series. He does everything for the T-Wolves, and I like him to get back to his usual ways in the rebounds+assists market.
The Minnesota Timberwolves have been masterful defensively against the Golden State Warriors. Golden State has not scored over 100 points in the series yet, and Jimmy Butler put his all into game three. With Anthony Edwards coming off his best game of the series, look for other teammates to find their confidence in game four. Minnesota covers and heads back home to try and close out the series in five.

Buddy Hield's point total has now dropped four straight games as he starts to cool off a bit -- but he still has topped this number in each. And it was very encouraging to see him play 32 minutes in Game 3 sans Steph Curry. Fellow guard Moses Moody appears to have fallen out of the rotation, so that helps Hield because the Dubs are very short on guards with Curry still out. Our model has Hield at 15.8 points, but I don't know that I'd rec any higher than this.
The key for the Warriors isn't necessarily winning this series without Steph Curry (hamstring), it's staying alive until he can return. No one is sure of Steph's status beyond tonight. He's slated to be re-evaluated before Game 5. We're thinking if the Dubs win tonight, it might be Game 6 when we next see him. In the meantime, Golden State succeeded somewhat in turning Game 3 into a grinder, though in the end just short thanks to Ant Edwards and Julius Randle (combined 60 points) on the T-wolves side. But Jonathan Kuminga (30 points on Saturday) is emerging for Steve Kerr as a viable alternative to Jimmy Butler, and a similar pace to Saturday keeps the Warriors close again. Play Warriors.
We had a brutal push in Game 3, as the Wolves throttled down for large stretches, played erratic ball, and still won comfortable vs a depleted opponent on the road. A late 3 made it a 5 point spread but the Wolves can smell blood here and will learn from that, wanting a stranglehold before Steph Curry returns (if he returns). The Warriors have covered 1 of last 8 at home and have an abysmal 89.9 offensive rating in this series. Playing 7 games in the first round and minimal time off is catching up to the Warriors. Minnesota is 11-6 ATS last 17 games. We ride the -5 again.
Neither team starts games with any tempo (12th and 13th in playoff pace), their defenses lead them, and still no Steph Curry for Golden State. The Warriors have to play a defensive slog and the Wolves' shooting has been erratic. Warriors first halves average 95 points in the postseason, while the Wolves average 99. GS scores 46/first half in playoffs; only Miami was lower. Wolves average just 50 points. Two of three games in this series did not break 82 points in the first half. Feels like this is who they are and what they bring out in each other.
