Horse racing's Triple Crown reaches the middle jewel on Saturday when the starting gate opens in the 2025 Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore. Kentucky Derby winner Sovereignty is bypassing the Preakness to point to the Belmont Stakes on June 7. However Kentucky Derby runner-up Journalism will run in Baltimore and is the 8-5 favorite in the 2025 Preakness Stakes odds. Fan favorite Sandman (4-1), the Todd Pletcher-trained River Thames (9-2), Hot Springs Stakes speedball Clever Again (5-1) and the Bob Baffert-trained Goal Oriented (6-1) round out the top five favorites among the nine 2025 Preakness Stakes horses. Post time for the $2 million Preakness Stakes 2025 is 7:01 p.m. ET. The race will shift to Laurel Park next year while Pimlico Race Course undergoes renovations.
